Armed robbers who snatch car in Tamale arrested at Buipe

The Ghana Police service has on Sunday the 23rd of January, 2022 arrested five suspected armed robbers at Buipe in the Savannah Region of Ghana following a robbery operation in Tamale. The Ghana police service reported that the five robbery suspects snatched a car (Toyota Camry salon) from its owner at a residential area in Tamale and bursted into speed. But the Ghana Police however pursued them and succeeded in arresting the suspects at Buipe in the savanna Region.

The police then conducted a search on the suspects which led to the retrieval of a G3 Riffle and a pistol.

Meanwhile one of the suspect was wearing a military uniform when they were apprehended by the police service, but the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) however came out publicly and distance itself from this alleged military officer who was arrested at Buipe together with four (4) others.

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has distanced itself from the alleged military officer who was arrested with four others at Buipe in the Savannah region for allegedly snatching a car in Tamale in the Northern region.

The Suspects, twenty-seven (27) years old Ibrahim Issah, Mohammed Mustapha twenty-three years old (23), Vivor Christopher also twenty-seven (27) years old, Benyamin Ajyei, twenty-three (23) years old, and Seyram Addo twenty-nine (29) years old, are currently in the custody of the Northern Regional Police Command assisting with the investigation.
