The Chief Executive Officer of Engineers & Planners, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama has on the afternoon of Sunday made a lot of donations to the victims of the explosion in Apiatse a mining community under Bogoso District in the Western Region.

Mr. Ibrahim Mahama who also doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Dzata Cement Production and also a brother to formal president John Dramani Mahama, has on the following huge danations to the victims of this Explosion Acident;

The business guru donated five thousand (500) bags of rice, five thousand (500) tins of Mackerel and also added to the donations was one-thousand (1000) gallons of oil to residents of the mining town of Bogoso.

The mining community suffered an explosion after a tricycle lost control and run into a vehicle owned by Maxam Company Limited (a company manufacturing explosives for mining companies in Ghana) that was carrying explosives from Maxam Company to be distributed to their customers.

The whole town was destroyed by the explosion with authority reporting over seventeen (17) deaths and so many injuries with some currently in critical condition.

The minister of lands and natural resources through the western regional commission of mining conducted prompt investigation and came up with a decision which led to the closure of Maxam Company limited for violation of policies.

Well-meaning Ghanaians will very soon be joining the course of support for this community as the Vice president of the republic Dr. Mahamudu Bawumya visited the scene and made commitments on behalf of the government, also making a promise to support is the speaker of parliament Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin who issued an official statement to commiserate the victims and assured them of his intension to get people on board to support in all manner they can.
