The Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture (MoTAC)
Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal has inaugurated a new board of Directors of the Ghana
Tourism Development Company Limited (GTDC) in Accra.
The nine (9) member Board which is made up of Six
(6) Government Nominees and Three (3) other representatives of the
institutional shareholders of the Company.
The new appointed Chairman of the inaugurated
board of directors is Mr. Kwame Acheampong Boateng, with Mr. Kwadwo Odame Antwi
being appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the board also part of the board
are Mr. Tanimu Osman, Madam Radia Adama Saani, Mr. Vitus Otoo Langmgne and Mrs.
Jacqueline Akuffo.
Other board members appointed for other agencies
and institutions include Mr. Akwasi Owusu Agyeman for the Ghana Tourism
Authority, Mr. Philip Abradu Otoo for the Bank of Ghana and Mr. Stephen Kwame
Oduro for SIC Insurance Company Limited.
During the Swearing in ceremony of the Board, the
Tourism, Arts and culture Minister Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal charged the newly
inaugurated board to work harder to improve the success of the Company.
Also, the Board Chairman, Mr. Kwame Acheampong
Boateng in his speech thanked the President of the republic of Ghana His
Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Minister of Tourism
Arts and Culture for the opportunity and responsibility bestowed on them, the
chairman went further to promised their appointees that the board will work
effectively to attain success.
