The Police officer met her untimely death
while off duty, when she was shot at Bawku in the upper east region by unknown
assailants while on her way on a motorbike to Bawku Barracks on Sunday, January
23, 2022.
The deceased Policewoman after the shooting
incident was rushed to the Presbyterian Mission Hospital in the Bawku
Municipality, but suddenly passed away while responding to treatment.
Commiserating on behalf of the Ghana Police
Administration was the Director-General Administration COP/Mr. Christian Tetteh

Policewoman Constable Regina Angenu was killed.
“We extend our sincerest condolences to the
bereaved family, colleagues and friends and also commiserate with them in this
trying time.”
The
Ghana Police service went further to urge the family of the deceased to remain
calm as the police investigation is underway to get committers of this
unreasonable murder arrested and made to face the law.
“We hereby urge the family to remain calm as
investigation is underway to get the perpetrators of this senseless and callous
murder arrested to face justice.”
The Ghana Police service gave a Facebook live
coverage from Bawku in the Upper East Region where some POMAB members join the
Upper East Regional Police Command to assess the security situation in Bawku
and also to interact with the operational men.
Since late last year 2021, the Bawku
Municipality and its surrounding is been going through tribal conflict involving
two tribes that’s the Kussasi’s and the Mamprusi’s.
A lot of killings has been going on but no
tribe ever accept responsibilities for any murder, but they rather keeps
accusing each other for the killing of innocent people on daily bases.
