TALK TO IMF TO HELP DON'T BE SHY - FRANKLIN CUDJOE TO GOVERNMENT

Franklin Cudjoe

The President of IMANI AFRICA, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe has advised the government to go to the International Monitoring Fund (IMF) for support and rather not be shy as the country's Economy is sinking and there is no hope.

The leader of one of the most recognized Civil Service Organization (CSO) in Africa on Monday 17th January, 2022 took to his social media wall to state his opinion on the state and Faith of the Ghanaian Economy.

Below are the words of Mr. Franklin Cudjoe;

"We all fall on hard times and need some support from family and friends..but Government has driven the country into a debt iceberg and we are sinking with fewer life boats. And passerby ships that should care are simply smiling and waving at us.. We need to stop the debt clock by rationalising our expenditure plans and more.. Meanwhile, government should talk to the IMF to help. We shouldn't be shy at all."

This comes after the government has been advised by Economic experts and CSOs to sort to the IMF to prevent the country from falling in all sectors of the economy.

Many believe the government will find it very difficult to adhere to this plea because it's afraid of the criticism that will come from the Country's largest opposition Party the NDC.

One may remember that during the government of the National Democratic Congress led by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama went to the IMF to seek refuge as the country at that time was going through Economic crises. But this decision by the Mahama led administration was seriously criticized by this government then Opposition party the New Patriotic Party (NPP) headlined by the Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia then running mate to then presidential Candidate Nana Akufo-Addo.
